One way of getting to UiTM Kedah from Penang International Airport, apart from self-drive by car hire, is to take multiple modes of transportation.

 

 

i. The best way is to make your way from the airport to the ferry terminal or jetty.

• From there, hop on the ferry to the mainland at no cost, because you are only charged RM1.20 one way from the mainland to the island.

• From the jetty in the mainland, ease yourself to the train station located on the right hand side as you exit the ferry terminal.

• You can take a train to Sungai Petani.

ii. The Rapid Penang Bus line 401E is a shuttle service running between the airport and Komtar and the Jetty.

​

• The buses run every 30 minutes and take around 1 hour to reach their final destination.

• Bus 401 also goes through south Ekspres Bas terminal, which has connections to mainland cities in Penang.

• The bus fare for one journey per adult is around RM 2.70.

• To get to the Jetty is slightly higher. Bus drivers only take the exact fare, they do not have change.

• As you reach the ferry terminal, you will need to cross the road and walk into the ferry terminal.

• The ferry service runs frequently throughout the day and ceases operation after midnight.

• Upon alighting the ferry, you will see signs that guide you to the train station which is located on the right side of the ferry terminal.

• You can purchase a ticket for the train to Sungai Petani. 

• The train fare is RM3.60 one way and the train comes every hour.

From Sungai Petani train station, the best way to get to UiTM Kedah is to get a grab car with a fare of approximately RM15.

iii. Taking a grab car from the Penang Airport to UiTM Merbok will cost you approximately RM100+.

Getting to UiTM Kedah from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport is fairly easy.

• From the airport, follow the signs to the ERL station.

• You can purchase a ticket to KL Sentral and board the train.

• The train will take approximately 1 hour to get to KL Sentral.

• You can look for signs that direct you to the train station within the same building of KL Sentral.

• Take the ETS train to Sungai Petani, Kedah.
